Pre-Valentine's True Love Meditations

Three Guided Meditation Sessions

with Kadam Morten
at Chakrasambara KMC

Saturday, February 11
10:00 - 11:15am | 11:45 - 1:00pm | 2:30 - 3:45pm
$6 session / $15 for the day / free for members

Three guided meditations on developing love. Kadam Morten will introduce each session and then guide the actual meditation. True love can never cause harm and only lead to happiness. Kadam Morten will guide us to identify in meditation the love in our hearts and to extend that love out to those closest to us, partner, family, friends etc. and even further to the whole world.

A deeply healing day for all of our relationships and a perfect preparation for Valentine's Day. Newcomers and everyone are welcome.

The practice of refuge enables us to establish an internal experience of peace and happiness that is the basis for Buddhist realizations. Join us for three lightly guided meditations on refuge in conjunction with preparatory prayers.

Finding Freedom from the Eight Extremes

A Weekend Course at the
Kadampa Meditation Center,
Glen Spey, NY

with Kadam Morten

March 23rd - March 25
(Check back soon for online registration)

The eight extremes are eight ways in which out of ignorance we misapprehend reality. Due to this we perceive ourselves in a state of painful isolation from others and our world. We see our limitations as real and feel stuck, completely cut off from the extraordinary potential for limitless happiness, love, and freedom that exists within all of us.

During this meditation course we will use the eight extremes as the springboard for exploring emptiness, the true nature of things, from different approaches. Through contemplating production, subtle impermanence, singularity and other misunderstood characteristics of phenomena, we will enhance our experience of emptiness, the soltution to all of our problems, and its application to our daily life.

Set in the serene blessed environment of KMC NY and our Kadampa Temple, this is an event not to be missed for all those who wish to better understand and experience the liberating wisdom of emptiness.
