Learning to Let Go of Bad Habits
We all have habits we consider ‘bad’ or unhealthy, even destructive. We don’t seemingly want to do them, but do them anyway, as if we are trapped. Buddha’s astounding insights into the mind gives us the tools to understand how and why we create compulsive patterns of behavior, and consequently how we can let go of them and create the meaningful and joyful life that we actually want.

three higher trainings, Buddha presented a comprehensive program for a healthy, happy, and meaningful life. In this series Kadam Morten will present us with Buddha's special recipe.

Karen Childers is the teacher of the Murray Hill meditation classes. She is also the assistant education program coordinator at Chakrasambara Center where she helps run the various workshops and classes. Originally from North Carolina, Karen’s teachings are focused and lively … and presented in soothing Southern tones.
Based in the traditions of Kadampa Buddhism, each class is structured
to include a teaching, two meditations, a group discussion, and a questions
and answers session.
No special clothing is required, and pre-registration is not necessary.
This class is a branch of Chakrasambara Buddhist Center in New York.
